A shared love of gardening brings us together. From enthusiastic beginners to experienced gardeners, Sherston Gardening Club is a welcoming club where ideas flourish, friendships grow and everyone can learn something new.

In May 2022 a group of enthusiastic gardeners met to plan the formation of Sherston Gardening club. The inaugural meeting was held in May 2022 in the British Schoolroom. A committee emerged and has been a vibrant group, all of whom have helped the club develop at a rapid pace.
Annual Membership varies. Members are mainly from Sherston and surrounding villages. The club aims to provide a friendly, informative meeting on the first Tuesday of the month in the British Schoolroom, Cliff road.

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at the British Schoolroom in Cliff Road, Sherston. Our evenings feature an inspiring guest speaker, followed by a chance to ask questions and share ideas.

Meetings start at 7.30pm with a visiting speaker of 45 - 60 minutes followed by a Q&A

Delicious cakes and biscuits (usually homemade) provided by members on a rota

Plants, seeds, books and gardening goodies. All funds raised go to our community project 'Bloomimg Sherston'

Gardening prizes, tickets £2
Our gardening adventures don't stop at the meeting room door. Throughout the year, we organise visits to inspiring gardens, nurseries and places of horticultural interest.
Recent outings have included Ashwood Nurseries in the Midlands and the beautiful gardens at Cadenham Manor.
We also enjoy social occasions, with a summer gathering and festive refreshments at our December meeting
Sherston Gardening Club's efforts are visible around the village. We replant the Post Office and Jubilee tree troughs twice a year with Spring bulbs appearing through a top layer of Hellebores and grasses and vibrant Dahlias in Summer and Autumn
Whenever a pop of colour is needed, such as the recreation grounds or on grass verges, we plant hundreds of cheerfull Spring flowering Narcissi
Our members also run a plant stall on the High Street during the popular Sherston Boules Day with all profits going to The Boules Commitee, who kindly give us a grant towards our 'Blooming Sherston' activities.
You don't need a perfect garden, specialist knowledge or even particularly green fingers to join us. Just bring your curiosity, enthusiasm and all your gardening questions, we would love to meet you.

A little knowledge, a lot of enthusiasm, and homemade cake.
